Slow Mist CISO: Beware of Cold Wallet Crypto Scams Disguised as Official Gifts

Slow Mist CISO 23pds tweeted a reminder to beware of disguised official cold wallet encrypted lottery scams. A new type of encryption fraud has recently emerged, where criminals impersonate official accounts on X platform, claiming to give away free cold wallets such as Ledger, and actually send out "brand new sealed" real devices to induce users to relax their vigilance. The real trap often lies in the device itself or the accompanying "initialization guide", which may be tampered with by the device or induced to leak mnemonic words through social engineering.
