Hacken: The AI security incident was not a hacker attack, but a human error caused by architecture changes, resulting in a loss of approximately $250000

According to a report by Golden Finance, Web3 security company Hacken stated in a post on X platform that the recent HAI security incident was not a hacker attack, but a human error during the architecture change period. The private keys of accounts with coin minting roles (ETH and BNB) were leaked, resulting in unauthorized HAI minting and BSC DEX dumping, but the deployer's wallet was not compromised. In this incident, Hacken's single chain infrastructure on VeChain helped to control losses. The attacker was unable to bridge tokens to VeChain or access CEX balances, nor was it allowed to deposit BSC/ETH into CEX (this was a deliberate design choice). The estimated loss was about $250000, and they have now fully controlled the minting of all subsequent tokens. The core infrastructure has always been separated from HAI infrastructure and remains secure. Currently, there is no evidence of any leakage outside of the private key. The team is conducting a comprehensive post event analysis to provide clear conclusions and guarantees.
