Texas signs bill to establish Bitcoin reserves, preparing to buy $10 million worth of BTC

Golden Finance reports that Texas Governor Greg Abbott has signed Senate Bill 21, officially establishing the first publicly funded state-level Bitcoin reserve in the United States. Texas will allocate $10 million to purchase Bitcoin, distinguishing it from Arizona and New Hampshire which only authorize non funded transactions. The supporting bill HB 4488 also stipulates that the reserve shall not be misappropriated for general fiscal revenue.
