Australian Securities and Exchange Commission appoints expert panel to investigate failed blockchain project worth over $160 million on ASX

According to Decrypt, the Australian Securities and Exchange Commission (ASIC) has appointed a team of three experts to investigate the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). The cause of the investigation is that ASX has abandoned its seven-year, $163.1 million blockchain project aimed at replacing its CHESS clearing system. The team is led by senior banker Rob Whitfield and is required to submit a report to ASIC before March 31st next year.
