Meta poaching OpenAI core researcher strengthens AI reasoning model layout

According to tech media TechCrunch, informed sources have revealed that Meta has hired influential OpenAI researcher Trapit Bansal to join the company's newly established AI super intelligence department and work on AI inference models. Bansal's addition may bring important assistance to Meta's AI super intelligence laboratory. The laboratory has currently gathered several industry leaders, including former ScaleAI CEO Alexandr Wang, former GitHub CEO Nat Friedman, and Safe Superintelligence co-founder Daniel Gross. It is worth noting that Meta has not yet publicly released any AI inference models in its open-source model family Llama series. In recent months, Zuckerberg has been intensively recruiting talent through high salaries to form Meta's new AI team, reportedly offering a compensation package of up to $100 million for top researchers.
