Today, I returned to Rockfort for the commissioning of Caribbean Cement Company’s Debottleneck Project, an investment that will increase local cement production and reduce our need to import. As we build more homes and infrastructure, this project helps us meet local demand, create jobs, lower costs, and support sustainability. Emissions from the upgraded facility are now five times lower than the national standard. I commend Caribbean Cement for this bold move and encourage other businesses to invest, expand, and be part of Jamaica’s growth.
