OpenAI is readjusting its compensation system and incentive methods to cope with researchers resigning and joining Meta

According to Yahoo Finance, in response to Meta's successful poaching of multiple senior researchers, an OpenAI executive assured team members that the company's leadership was not "standing idly by". Chief Research Officer Mark Chen stated that he, along with CEO Sam Altman and other OpenAI leaders, has been "negotiating day and night with those who have received job offers," and "we are restructuring our compensation system and finding creative ways to recognize and reward top talent. In the past week, eight researchers have left OpenAI to join Meta. Altman even complained in his podcast about Meta offering a "$100 million signing bonus," which Meta executives internally refuted.
