What Ethereum needs most now is a strong leader. Unlike BTC's digital gold value storage, Ethereum's entire value system is built on applications and needs to be continuously iterated and promoted before the infrastructure is fully mature. For Ethereum now, the fragmented state of L2 has affected the positive cycle of the internal ecosystem, affecting ETH prices and subsequently impacting the security capabilities of the Ethereum ecosystem; Although there are too many interests involved, it is now time to make a decision. We cannot prioritize L1 expansion (although equally important) just because there are too many conflicting interests in L2 that make it difficult to advance. The most urgent need for the Ethereum ecosystem now is a decisive and visionary leader, not Western KOLs who blindly promote Ethereum, nor even technology experts who do practical things (the Ethereum ecosystem does not lack such researchers). Whoever this leader is, whether it is Vitalik or someone else, needs to bring the leadership of L2 back to L1, otherwise these L2 will leave the Ethereum ecosystem. L2 is not too big now, but if it becomes too big in the future, it will affect the foundation of Ethereum. As institutions go live on L2 on a large scale, this problem will only become increasingly severe. The priority of integrating L2 with Ethereum is much higher than expanding L1.
