The 1 billion Solidarity Programme was created with you in mind. We know that not everyone has easy access to digital tools. We know that some Jamaicans live far from town centres, face health or mobility challenges, or have never had the opportunity to get a birth certificate or formal ID. And we also know this: you matter. This is not a first-come, first-served online scramble. It’s a carefully designed national initiative to make sure that support reaches the people who need it most, fairly, directly, and with care. This is a government that listens and responds. And the Solidarity Programme is one way we are showing that. It’s for: Older Jamaicans without regular support Youth who are not currently in school, work, or training Persons with disabilities Informal workers and those in low-income jobs People facing serious health challenges without resources Small business owners affected by disaster And Jamaicans who’ve never been able to access assistance because they don’t yet have documents like a birth certificate This programme is built on fairness, inclusion, and respect to ensure that no Jamaican is left out simply because of where they live, how much they earn, or what papers they have.
