According to BlockBeats, on July 4th, Coinbase director Conor Grogan revealed that the "dormant Bitcoin whale" that transferred 50000 BTC today appears to be an independent miner from 2011. It once collected mining rewards for 180 blocks and owned an address containing 200000 bitcoins in 2011, worth approximately $22 billion today, making it one of the top five wallets in history.
