Emirates plans to support cryptocurrency payments next year through cooperation with Crypto.com

According to Decrypt, Emirates Airlines has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Crypto.com to explore the integration of the exchange's cryptocurrency payment functionality into the airline's payment system. According to official announcements, this feature is expected to be officially integrated next year. As early as 2022, the airline shared plans to accept Bitcoin payments. The detailed information regarding the types of goods or services that Emirates Airlines will accept encrypted payments for, as well as which encrypted tokens it will accept, has not yet been disclosed. It is reported that the merchant payment system of Crypto.com supports settlement of over 20 cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, as well as fiat currencies such as the US dollar and Euro. Currently, more than 4000 merchants are using it. Both parties will also promote this payment function through marketing activities.
