I used to be Ethereum fanboy in late 2015 and throughout 2016. Thought the smart contract layer was important for eventual applications. Despite ETH going from 1 to 10, 100 then 1,000+ (which can make you think you are a genius), the ICO boom and changing roadmap changed my mind. ETH still has some first mover smart-contracting advantage and therefore distribution. However, competing smart-contract platforms did a better job executing their roadmaps in my view. Bitcoin still remains in a league of its own.
