BlockFi's bankruptcy liquidation team has reached a settlement with the US Department of Justice (DOJ) over a $35 million cryptocurrency transfer lawsuit, which has now been dismissed by the court in the form of a "biased withdrawal", meaning it cannot be brought back. The lawsuit was initially filed by DOJ in May 2023, involving the seizure of funds from the BlockFi accounts of two Estonian suspects, and the criminal case involved is unrelated to the BlockFi bankruptcy proceedings.
