Auditor: Experts say US election system still lacks critical encryption security measures

According to Golden Finance, former voting machine auditor Michal Pospieszalski has warned that there are still serious security vulnerabilities in the US election system that have been discovered since 2006 but have not been fixed. As the CEO of blockchain security company MatterFi, he pointed out that the current voting machines lack end-to-end encryption proof, which cannot prevent votes from being counted repeatedly or verify their legitimacy. Pospieszalski suggests adopting a solution based on David Chaum encryption technology to add anonymous sequence numbers to each ballot to ensure uniqueness, without the need to introduce complex blockchain technology. He stated that this improvement can be achieved through software upgrades, but legislation is needed to push voting mechanism manufacturers to take action. At the same time, New York State has proposed a bill to study the application of blockchain technology to election security.
