The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission extends the period for visiting professionals to provide virtual asset services to 45 days per calendar year

According to a report by Golden Finance, the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission has issued a circular on optimization measures to facilitate regulated activities or virtual asset services for visiting professionals in Hong Kong. Currently, mobile professionals are allowed to conduct regulated activities or provide virtual asset services in Hong Kong for no more than 30 days per calendar year, and their licenses will be subject to a condition in this regard (the existing conditions for mobile professionals). To facilitate professionals visiting Hong Kong and provide them with more flexibility in conducting the aforementioned activities in Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission has extended the deadline to 45 days per calendar year. The new conditions of the extended deadline apply to existing licensed mobile professionals, who will be arranged to replace their current conditions with those with a 45 day deadline.
