The article "Review: Value of Bitcoin Reaching a New High, Celebrating the End of the Age of Inscription" (the author Shisijun) reviewed the technical evolution and the bursting of foam of several schemes of Bitcoin Inscription Protocol from Ordinals to Runes, CAT20, RGB++, and pointed out that although the inscription ecology had triggered a huge market boom, it was difficult to sustain its development because of the complex protocol design, reliance on off chain indexes, and lack of real application scenarios, and finally fell into speculative fatigue and resource depletion.
