I just saw something, to be honest, it's a bit overwhelming. In mid-2024, WeTransfer quietly changed their terms of service and privacy policy without prior notice or notification to users. On the surface, it appears to be a pile of legal terms, but in reality, the most crucial change is that the platform can directly train AI with the content you upload, without paying copyright fees or giving you the right to choose to exit. It can even "backtrack" - the files you uploaded before are now considered "usable assets" of the platform. This is not an isolated case. More and more platforms are adopting a "predatory default" model. Users uploading things may seem to be under their own control, but in reality, the platform can change the terms at any time and use legal language to turn your data and content into their model training materials. You can't object, and you won't get a penny. The content you have worked hard to create is someone else's' free fuel ', does that make you feel even more uncomfortable 🤣 But @ campnetworkxyz's approach is completely different. Building a complete on chain mechanism, incorporating "IP traceability," "authorization rules," and "revenue distribution" all onto the chain, and writing them into smart contracts from the beginning. It is no longer the platform's the final say, but the creator defines how IP is used. For users one ️⃣ You can register the original version of your work on the chain two ️⃣ Clearly defined authorization agreement (whether secondary innovation is allowed and whether it can be used for AI training) three ️⃣ Every time it is called, recreated, or referenced, it can be traced back four ️⃣ If someone uses it, the income or royalties can also be automatically refunded Web2 is stealing the terms, while Web3 is written into the contract. The former is a closed door operation, while the latter is a public record. It is clear on the chain who did what. Camp's on chain Provence system makes AI training traceable, authorizable, and profitable. For creators, it's no longer about data being plundered, but about becoming a new source of income. Nowadays, with the widespread use of AI, a large amount of training data for AI models will mostly come from open source content if not fed by oneself. If you can't even figure out who the content belongs to, then who should the royalties, authorizations, and ownership belong to?
