OpenAI welcomes new executives to expand the market for AI tools

According to Golden Finance, Fidji Simo, the outgoing CEO of Instacart, will join OpenAI. Prior to her official start next month, she outlined OpenAI's vision for the newly established position of Chief Executive Officer for Applications. She wrote, "We must consciously build and share these technologies to bring more opportunities and prosperity to more people." OpenAI announced in early May that Simon, 39, will take over the operational responsibilities currently held by CEO Sam Ultraman, including finance and product development. The company stated at the time that this would enable Ultraman to focus on a broader strategy.
