Shanghai: Developing multi form eyewear products such as AI+AR and AI+MR

The Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology has issued the Action Plan for High Quality Development of the Next Generation Display Industry in Shanghai (2026-2030). It is pointed out that smart glasses will drive innovation in display technology. Actively layout the production capacity of smart glasses and build intelligent and unmanned production lines. Develop multi form eyewear products such as AI+AR and AI+MR, and cultivate a multi technology micro display ecosystem through terminal integration. Focusing on key technical indicators such as lightweight, low power consumption, high resolution, and large field of view, we aim to drive iterative innovation in key components such as display devices, waveguide lenses, and core chips, in order to continuously improve product performance in response to the actual needs of the consumer market. Encourage innovation in product models and eyeglass forms for the next generation of silicon-based microdisplays, and accelerate the development of full-color, portable smart glasses products.
