According to the official blog, Eigen Labs announced that the redistribution mechanism has been launched on the mainnet. The redistribution mechanism is the next iteration of EigenLayer's confiscation function. Redistribution has unlocked new use cases for AVS, providing more liquidity management and risk tolerance options for AVS and its customers. Under the redistribution mechanism, the reduced funds can now be redistributed based on their specific use cases, rather than being destroyed.
