It seems there is confusion about the stark difference between asset performance and INCOME. You cannot live your life with unrealized yieldless asset appreciation. You must collect. If there is no yield, as with BTC or gold, the only way to collect is by reducing your position by converting it into something else (a.k.a. selling). It is the very same reason why I said repeatedly that the Bitcoin Strategic Reserve will have absolutely zero impact on GDP growth unless the US sells coins.
