Today I had the honour of breaking ground for the government’s Caymanas Special Economic Zone, a deliberate investment in jobs, industry, innovation, and long-term national growth This development, being implemented by Port Authority of Jamaica, will help transform the Caymanas corridor into a thriving centre for logistics, manufacturing, and commerce, reshaping the development landscape of the area and strengthening Jamaica’s position as a regional hub for trade and investment. Projects like this are part of a broader strategy to expand economic opportunity, attract meaningful investment, and create lasting improvements in the quality of life for our people. This is my full speech for your knowledge, because when we address the nation, it is never for show.
