According to a report by Golden Finance, on July 30th local time, the White House of the United States issued a statement stating that President Trump has signed an executive order to suspend the minimum duty-free treatment for low value goods. The statement states that starting from August 29th, all applicable tariffs will be levied on imported goods with a value equal to or less than $800 and originally meeting the minimum duty-free conditions that are sent through means other than the international postal network. For goods shipped through the international postal system, customs duties will be levied based on ad valorem or volumetric taxes.
