According to Foresight News, the official website of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority has updated information stating that with the implementation of the stablecoin issuer regulatory system under the Stablecoins Ordinance on August 1, 2025, the issuance of fiat stablecoins has become a regulated activity that requires a license. Therefore, relevant details of the regulatory system are listed, including the stablecoin issuer licensing system, regulation of licensed stablecoin issuers, and a register of licensed stablecoin issuers. The register of licensed stablecoin issuers contains the names and basic information of licensed stablecoin issuers. The public can obtain the latest list of licensed institutions through the register. Currently, there are no licensed stablecoin issuers, and the relevant list will be updated in a timely manner.
