According to Politico, the White House will carry out a massive $200 million renovation project on its east wing, which is Trump's latest construction project for this executive residence. White House Press Secretary Levitt announced on Thursday that construction on a approximately 90000 square foot, 650 person White House state banquet hall will begin in September. According to the White House website, Trump and other "patriotic donors" will pay for this $200 million renovation project. Levitt stated that the East Wing will undergo a "modernization renovation", during which all office areas, including the First Lady's office, will be temporarily relocated. This is the latest and most expensive renovation project in a series of White House renovations during Trump's tenure. Levitt said that this project is expected to be completed before the end of Trump's term.
