According to Foresight News, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the UK has opened up retail channels for cryptocurrency exchange traded notes (ETNs), stating that companies will soon be able to provide retail investors with access to cETNs. The cryptocurrency ETN that retail investors can trade must be traded on a UK investment exchange (RIE) approved by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). The FCA's ban on retail investors accessing cryptocurrency derivatives will remain in effect. FCA will continue to monitor market developments and consider its approach to high-risk investments.
