In the field of cross chain, the heavy solutions of L0 and Wormhole must rely on relays and oracle machines. Across V4, armed with ZK+intent systems implemented through Succinct, is the ideal solution to shatter the assumption of extra trust. The key is the ZK capability provided by Succinct, which generates ZK proofs after monitoring the state on the chain and can be verified by any smart contract on the target chain without additional deployment or trust intermediaries. In terms of generality, there is no need to write independent logic for different chains, and it can be used universally in one deployment. In cross chain verification settlement, there is no longer a need to trust assumptions and challenge time windows. Efficiently, universally applicable, and with minimal trust, Succinct has become the heart of this system. What it provides is that the target chain can truly "understand what happened to the source chain on its own". In the current mainstream solution, you must trust these relays/oracle machines to not do evil or make mistakes. Although many large cross chain protocols have their own "methods", such as having well-known institutions operate key roles, setting up multiple key roles to balance each other, etc., this problem is generally similar to the "impossible triangle", which is a balance between "efficiency" and "trust". @SuccinctLabs @AcrossProtocol
