On October 25, 2024, the city of Lugano, Switzerland unveiled a statue in memory of Satoshi Nakamoto, the anonymous creator of Bitcoin, at Villa Ciani. The event was organized by the Plan B initiative, a collaboration between Tether and the city of Lugano. This statue was designed by Italian artist Valentina Picozzi and took 18 months to study and 3 months to build.
