Lancashire police in the UK seized Bitcoin appreciation gains of $665000

According to a report by Golden Finance, the Lancashire police in the UK seized Bitcoin converted by criminals in 2017, resulting in a surplus of $1.3 million after liquidation due to the soaring price of Bitcoin. According to British law, victims can only receive the original amount of compensation, and the police will allocate $665000 (£ 500000) to the anti crime fund for the purchase of drones, anti fraud equipment, and more. The remaining portion shall be handed over to the government. The police stated that this move will achieve full compensation for the victims, while the additional funds will be used for crime prevention. The criminal involved has been sentenced.
