BlockBeats News: On August 6th, the Ethereum Foundation released a blog post updating the latest progress on "Scale L1/Extended L1", mainly including the following three points:
1. Marius van der Wijden joins Ansgar Dietrichs and Tim Beiko to jointly lead the L1 expansion work;
2. After Berliner, the main network gas limit increased to 45 million, which is the first step towards 100 million gas and higher levels;
3. All major execution layer clients are equipped with pre merge history expiration function, significantly reducing node disk usage;
It is reported that in response to the growing demand for the Ethereum network, the foundation restructured its research and development team in June and renamed it "Protocol", focusing on three strategic goals: Scale L1 expansion, Blob expansion, and user experience/UX improvement, while ensuring security and decentralization.
