The Gaza hunger question. 1st off, there’s no denying that the population in Gaza has been suffering tremendously. Wars are horrible. When it comes to children it’s even worse. No children should ever go through war. And this one should’ve ended long ago. Now, where I take issue with the established narrative is that it blames Israel for all of it, when it turns out the blame, the outrage, and the pressure should be squarely on Hamas that has the power to end this madness today. Instead, the governments of France, UK, and Canada are validating, and rewarding Hamas’ strategy to use their own people’s suffering to achieve their goal of statehood. And what Hamas means by statehood, is the whole thing with no Jews around. Now on with the truth. There are more than enough calories coming into Gaza or ready to come into Gaza to feed the entire population. The problem is the distribution. Hamas wants the world to see suffering Gazans, they weaponize their suffering to achieve their goals. They’re not even hiding this strategy. They talk about it publicly. Martyrdom is revered. The UN—which has a massive anti-Israel bias—has admitted that from mid-May to early August 2025, 87-98% of aid trucks were intercepted by Hamas during transit, with over 1,753 out of 2,134 trucks affected between May and July 2025. Hamas then hoards supplies in tunnels and other sites, and resell them on the black market to use that money for more terror against Israel. In May the images of Gazans breaking into the Hamas warehouse in Al-Jafari filled with stolen UN flour broke out, but very few mainstream media outlets reported it as such. According to best estimates, international aid has generated over 500M in revenue for Hamas from the resale of stolen aid on the black market. To solve this distribution problem, the US and Israeli governments turned to the @GHFUpdates, led by the amazing @JohnnieM. GHF aid workers have been threatened by Hamas, some even tragically murdered. Convoys and distribution sites are attacked to prevent the delivery of food and stop the program altogether so Hamas can continue stealing aid for profit and weaponizing the suffering of their own people. Hamas is also starving Israeli hostages as form of torture. The images coming out of dark tunnels in the past few days reminding many of those coming out of concentration camps. At the end of the day, the Palestinians of Gaza pay the price. And this price is very real. It’s time for this war to end, and for hostages to come home. Hamas rejected four ceasefire deals in March, May, and twice in July. If the international community and mainstream outrage was directed at those responsible for starting this war, weaponizing hunger, and refusing to end this war, it would be over now. And it’s time. Let’s end this.(David Marcus)
