I finally remembered this memecoin lore that my intern have been asking me to share on CT. When Coinbase launched Base, I was one of the early ones to deposit funds into the chain. Back then there was no bridge website, just an ETH mainnet address on the Base docs page (sus af). I saw a token named BALD and thought that this was hilarious. Bought it without thinking too much, 5x my money in a day iirc then sold it before it rugged and used some of the profits to buy 2 new iPhones.(Bobby Ong)
