Earlier, Brother Feng @ blockTVBee told me that the @ GOATRollup project is worth paying attention to, which is a native ZK Rollup for Bitcoin and aims to achieve sustainable BTC returns. Now I'm here. @GOATRollup @GOATRollup extends the functionality of Bitcoin by implementing Bitcoin Rollup, and the security of the network is obtained from the underlying Bitcoin blockchain of Rollup, also known as L1. By introducing an optimistic challenge protocol GOAT-OCP and utilizing BitVM2 for security and ZKM interleaved Rollup as a universal settlement layer, GOAT Network can enhance the inclusiveness and finality of transactions. At the same time, decentralized sequencers are used to protect the stability of the network and ensure the security of network assets. The BitVM2 protocol has been adopted by many Bitcoin Layer 2 solutions, but there are still some practical challenges in building zkRollups. The GOAT Network team proposed GOAT BitVM2, which introduces a multi round random challenge mechanism and a sorter set commitment scheme under the assumption of 1-of-n honesty to address the openness issues in BitVM2, such as operator double spending attacks, inability to support withdrawals of arbitrary amounts, low challenge selection efficiency, and lack of system incentive models. By introducing zkMIPS, generate proofs for each L2 block and aggregate all block proofs as needed when the operator initiates reimbursement. This can shorten the operator's proof generation time to approximately 40 seconds. By introducing the abstract roles of Universal Operators, namely BitVM2 operators, BitVM2 challengers, and decentralized sorters, the risks and benefits of different specific roles can be balanced, attracting more entities to join the optimistic challenge process. This achieves a robust system incentive model and enhances the robustness of the BitVM2 protocol. These enhanced features aim to enhance the reliability and scalability of the protocol, thereby promoting wider adoption of BitVM2 in the Bitcoin Layer 2 ecosystem. To be honest, I haven't fully understood it yet. I will study and learn again later.
