CME Ethereum futures hit a record high of $118 billion in July trading volume, with a month on month increase of 82%

According to The Block data, the trading volume of CME Ethereum futures in July reached a historic high of $118 billion, an increase of 82% compared to the previous month. The size of open interest contracts jumped from $2.97 billion in June to $5.21 billion, an increase of 75%. In addition, the total trading volume of global Ethereum futures reached $2.12 trillion in July, a year-on-year increase of 38%, and surpassed the historical high of $1.87 trillion in May 2021. The price of Ethereum broke through $4300 on August 9th, reaching its highest level since December 2021, and Google search volume also reached a new high since June 2022.
