OKX announces X Layer upgrade and OKT offline arrangement

OKX announced that X Layer has completed PP upgrade, TPS has been increased to 5000, gas costs have been significantly reduced, and OKX Wallet, OKX Exchange, and OKX Pay have been fully integrated. OKTChain will gradually go offline, and OKT will cease trading from 14:10 on August 13, 2025. User assets will be exchanged for OKB according to the rules. OKB will become the only gas and native token of X Layer, and the 65.25 million OKBs previously repurchased and reserved will be destroyed in one go, with a fixed issuance of 21 million. The OKB smart contract will be upgraded on August 18, 2025, removing the functions of issuance and destruction.
