Cardano Foundation DRep changes vote to 'yes', supports treasury withdrawals for free CDN
According to Foresight News, the Cardano Foundation DRep has changed its vote to "yes" and supports the proposal to extract 605000 ADAs for providing developers with a free native asset content distribution network (CDN). The initial 'veto' vote was based on financial and funding concerns, but additional information provided by the NFTCDN team has addressed these concerns. The proposal includes providing 18 months of free native asset CDN services for all Cardano developers to address the high cost issues faced by developers. The NFTCDN team provided clear salary and infrastructure cost budgets; During the 18 month strategic period, data will be collected for DReps to vote on three sustainable future paths (open source, decentralized, or transfer to non-profit organizations); There is no suitable funding category for this type of infrastructure project for Project Catalyst, so the treasury withdrawal process is chosen. DRep believes that this proposal is a reasonable and strategic investment in public infrastructure, providing long-term sustainability and immediate value.
