Last week, I received an airdrop for the Succinct project through Binance HODLer. As it is a ZK proof two-sided market built on Ethereum, I conducted some research and kept a record. What does Succinct do Simply put, Succinct is like the "AWS of ZK", building a global, decentralized two-sided marketplace on Ethereum: Proof requesters and Provers match through an auction mechanism to generate ZKP. By using @ SuccinchLabs' core technology SP1 zkVM (Zero Knowledge Virtual Machine), developers can generate ZK proofs by writing code in common languages such as Rust, without the need for complex underlying technologies such as cryptography or circuit design. Significantly reduced the threshold for ZK development. 2/The role of ZK technology in it When it comes to ZK, we can easily think of L2 expansion solutions such as ZK Rollup. The focus of Succinct is not on scaling, but on building a decentralized ZK provisioning infrastructure (hence the token ticket is called Prove), creating an open market that allows developers to write ZK applications like regular programs, lowering the barrier to entry; Simultaneously motivate Provers to provide low-cost and reliable proof services. In this business, ZK technology is mainly reflected in privacy protection, cross chain verification, secure computing, lightweight clients, and other aspects, making the verification process more trustworthy, secure, and efficient. This is also the core technical support of the Succinct project. 3/Use case scenarios and users of Succinct There are many web3 projects using Succinct, including public chains such as Polygon, Taiko, and Morph, as well as dApps such as Celestia and Lido. The use case scenarios involved in the collaboration between these projects and Succinct include: Zk EVM: A proof of Ethereum block execution based on SP1, which can quickly deploy zkEVM. Rollups: Generate proof of validity for state transitions, which can be bridged to Ethereum or other chains. Identity and Privacy: Client proof generation, supporting private voting and anonymous identity. AI and Generative Applications: Provide verifiable support for AI agents, generative art, user customized experiences, etc. in an on chain environment. Interoperability: Perform cryptographic operations such as elliptic curve to expand EVM capabilities. 4/PROVE Economic Model PROVE is not just a governance token, but also includes functions such as payment, security, and incentives in the Succinct network. Payment tool: The requester needs to use PROVE payment proof to generate fees. Network security and equity pledge: Provers need to pledge PROVE in order to participate in the auction as an economic guarantee. Pledge Entrustment: The holder can entrust the PROVE to the verifier to share the profits. Governance and Incentives: PROVE holders can vote to participate in governance and incentivize validators to improve infrastructure. The Succinct team is technology driven and has raised $56 million in two rounds before TGE. However, now that @ Binance has been launched, the reference value of financing data is not significant, and we have entered the stage of sufficient market competition.
