Guangdong releases detailed rules for awards and subsidies for innovative development projects in the artificial intelligence and robotics industries, with a maximum support of 50 million yuan per project Recently, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province, in conjunction with the Provincial Department of Finance, issued the "Implementation Rules for Fund Management Related to Innovation and Development of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Industry". It is explicitly stated that for national level manufacturing innovation centers, construction funding support will be provided in conjunction with national support policies, with subsidy funds not exceeding 40% of the total amount of newly purchased R&D instruments and equipment (including supporting software, excluding taxes) for the project, and a maximum of 50 million yuan per project. Specific award and subsidy projects include the Innovation Capacity Building Project of Manufacturing Innovation Centers in the fields of artificial intelligence and robotics, the Cultivation of High Quality Enterprises in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Project, the Promotion of AI Empowered New Industrialization Benchmark Project, and the Operation Project of Open Source Communities and Open Source Ecological Centers. The Implementation Rules shall come into effect on September 1, 2025 and shall be valid until December 31, 2027.
