Intel is just a prelude to considering expanding the "subsidy for equity" program to other chip companies in the United States According to a report by Golden Finance, citing two sources, US Commerce Secretary Lutnick is studying the federal government's investment in chip manufacturers funded by the chip bill to build factories in the United States. This measure is an extension of the previous plan: the United States intends to exchange cash subsidies for a portion of Intel's equity. A White House official and an insider said that Lutnik is exploring how the United States can provide chip bill funding to companies such as Micron Technology (MU. O), TSM. N, and Samsung while also acquiring their equity. At present, most of the funds have not been disbursed.
