Trump allies call for investigation into Federal Reserve Governor Cook, implying he may have violated criminal law
Odaily Planet Daily News: Bill Platt, the director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) and a staunch ally of Trump, urged Attorney General Pam Bundy to investigate the two mortgage transactions of Federal Reserve Governor Cook. On August 15th, Pratt wrote to Bondi and Justice Department official Ed Martin, stating that Cook "forged bank documents and property records to obtain more favorable loan conditions, which may constitute mortgage fraud under criminal law. He stated that Cook had purchased a property in Ann Arbor, Michigan and applied for a loan, promising to use it as his primary residence for at least one year. However, two weeks later, he applied for another mortgage in Georgia, also declaring it as his primary residence. Pult also cited four criminal law provisions and suggested that Bondi investigate whether there are potential charges. Currently, no charges have been filed and it is unclear whether Bondi will initiate an investigation. (Golden Ten)
