I just came across Messari's research report on dismantling "2025 Arbitrarum". I remember when I first entered the industry, the timeline of X revolved around the four kings of Eth Layer 2, all of which were mandatory airdrops.
Nowadays, with the passage of time, two of the Big Four have been marginalized, but what about Arbitrarum? @Arbitrum_cn has transformed from a simple Layer2 into Arbitrum Everyone, a 'broader future'!
In the past half year, many of the poor guys in Layer2 complained on X that some projects "want users without users, TVL without TVL, ecology without ecology!! ”
In the Messari research report, "digital sovereign states" and "Arbitrarum Everywhere" are used to describe Arbitrarum, which is much more than just a simple Layer 2!
Unlike some projects, Arbitrarum has been practicing Community First from the airdrop of Da Mao in 2023 to the launch of DAO! Arbitrum is no longer an exclusive project of Offchain Labs, but a decentralized protocol managed by ARB holders through Dao.
After Community First, Arbitrum is also a rare project to be so aggressive after TGE. More than two years have passed since TGE, and Arbitrarum TVL has remained stable in the top three, with over 1.1 million active addresses, accounting for 31.8% of L2 transactions.

The "Arbitrarum Everywhere" in Messari's research report describes how Arbitrarum has transformed from a single L2 chain to a multi chain empire, expanding to 48 custom chains through the Orbit technology stack, with a total TVL of $13.7 billion.
Developers start with shared liquidity and then move to dedicated block spaces to develop games RWA、 Anime can do anything. For example, the Apex Chain of Proof of Play and the upcoming AnimeChain.
The highlights of Orbit technology include Stylus, AnyTrust DA, and L3 settlement, as well as the ability to customize Gas tokens, allowing projects to pay with their own tokens to avoid liquidity loss.
This is not as simple as simply expanding capacity, but rather a combination of performance, uniformity, and decentralization, which is completely different from some L2 fragmentation activities.
Arbitrum Everywhere has truly solved the pain points of Layer 2, not just talking about storytelling and making big cakes, but showcasing the flexibility of the Arb ecosystem and redefining infrastructure.

The concept of "digital sovereign states" in Messari's research report refers to the economic self-sufficiency of Arbitrarum, just like DAO led "states", where holders can control resources and governance through DAO.
Unlike some L2 communities that are cold and aloof, Arbitrarum DAO holds $1.21 billion in assets, saved from core protocol revenue ($7.5 million) and Timeboost, and reinvested through growth flywheels: including DeFi incentive plans (quarterly 20 million ARBs), RWA diversification (holding $27.6 million, earning $745000), and game investments (initial $10 million).
The core of the vision of a 'digital sovereign state' is the three pillars of diverse stakeholders (developers and users), high profit block space (gross profit margin of 95%), and economic pilot zones, which are closed together to drive demand growth. The key to this innovation is sustainable prosperity: without relying on external funding, ARB holders upgrade through Tally voting management, and the security committee mitigates risks, fully embodying the decentralized spirit of blockchain.

This Messari report made me feel that after years of narrative hype in ETH Layer2, Arbitrarum is one of the few projects that doesn't just talk about storytelling and make big cakes. Arbitrarum perfectly integrates technology and community governance to create a self-sufficient ecosystem.
As some Eth-Layer2 moves towards the edge, Arbitrarum is moving towards a broader future through the "Digital Sovereign Nation" and "Arbitrarum Everywhere".
It is recommended that Arbitrarum Holders and ecosystem participants take a look at Messari's research report together:
