Looking at Fengjing Bro's recent situation, if your skills aren't ProMax enough, it's getting harder and harder to grab a piece of the MEV arbitrage pie. Ran into quite a few old ABOT group friends, and they're all feeling the same struggles.
Alex once told me that one big reason for shutting down Abot was realizing he couldn't outcompete GMGN. Going at it alone left him mentally drained. Plus, managing private keys brought speed improvements but also increased the risk of theft.
It's obvious that almost every market is shrinking across the board. All the comfort zones we used to have—brick-moving, arbitrage, farming—are no longer what they used to be. Just in terms of arbitrage, funding rates are dropping lower and lower, and the spreads between exchanges, as well as between CEX and on-chain, have been squeezed to the point where it's barely doable.
Opportunities are limited. Unless you become a Tier-2 PRO MAX or hit it big once and live off that, it's getting tougher and tougher.
Cherish your chips and opportunities.
The next two years are crucial.
