Method for finding stocks during cycle reversals. Just got into a third-gen semiconductor stock this week, so I’m sharing my thought process for picking and holding stocks.
Fundamentals: A good company with a moat in its business, aligns with policy trends, benefits from domestic substitution, and meets rigid demand.
Volume: Technically, it’s showing volume as it breaks out from the bottom.
Price: Completed a bottom breakout and confirmed again after a pullback.
Timing: Fully completed a downward cycle.
Risk/Reward: Limited downside risk, but massive upside potential.
Strategy: Add to the position on the right side with every 5-10% profit. Reduce the position if it pulls back to the profit point. At major resistance levels, actively reduce the position to observe, and add more after a breakout.
Golden Rule: Never lose principal.
Position Management: No single stock is worth more than 30% of your portfolio, even if it turns out to be a 10x bull stock later.
