Per the BIS, the Tier 1 Capital ratio for banks is 13.4%. Meanwhile stablecoins like Tether are over-collateralized (short term U.S. treasuries + BTC & Gold hedge). It is reasonable to expect significant capital movement from weaker (bank) to stronger (stablecoin) balance sheets. (Gabor Gurbacs)
