The Jamaica Labour Party is the only political organisation that has reduced taxes. We lowered the GCT from 16.5% to 15%, while protecting government revenues and ensuring the sustainability of vital programmes. In the past, reckless tax policies left Jamaica burdened with debt and limited opportunities. Today, our approach is different, we provide relief while safeguarding growth and stability. The best way to deliver social services is to target those who truly need them, not to make broad promises that put the country’s progress at risk.
