I spoke with the @eucopresident, António Costa. I am grateful for his sincere condolences to our people, to all the families who lost their loved ones as a result of yesterday’s Russian strike on Kyiv. As of now, it is known that 25 people were killed, including four children, and dozens were wounded. An absolutely vile strike that shows Putin’s true intentions – to continue killing, not to take steps toward peace. Ukraine has stated many times that it is ready for a meeting at the level of leaders. We have spoken about this with President Trump and with our European friends. But we see no signals of such readiness from Russia. That is why pressure is needed. We are counting that the 19th EU sanctions package will be truly strong. We discussed the development of security guarantees. Work is now underway on finalizing all components, which will consist of three blocks. One of the key guarantees we see is Ukraine’s membership in the European Union. We expect that soon, together with Moldova, we will have progress on this matter. We also spoke about additional funding for the production of Ukrainian drones and the implementation of the SAFE and PURL initiatives.
