This morning I met with the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Election Observation Mission, who are in Jamaica at the invitation of the Electoral Commission to observe our upcoming General Elections. Their presence underscores the importance of transparency, accountability, and trust in the electoral process across the region. As Prime Minister, I welcome this mission, not only as a demonstration of regional cooperation but also as a safeguard of the democratic values that Jamaica holds dear. The Government of Jamaica remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring free, fair, and transparent elections, so that the voice of every Jamaican is respected and upheld.(Andrew Holness)
