The Solidarity Programme means no Jamaican is left behind. Through this initiative, we will deliver a one-time grant of 20,000 to 50,000 vulnerable Jamaicans who are not currently benefiting from PATH, Poor Relief, Social Pension, NIS, or any similar support programme. Every recipient will also be enrolled in relevant government programmes to support their formalization, professionalization, and long-term empowerment. At its core, this programme is a message to every Jamaican; your government stands with you, supports you, and believes in you. We are creating a Jamaica where growth is not just measured in numbers, but in the lives uplifted, the opportunities created, and the fairness ensured. Already, more than 300,000 Jamaicans have benefited from measures such as the reverse tax credit and increases in the income tax threshold.
