Forgot which coin started it, but when did it become popular for major CEXs to list pre-launch contracts before spot trading? I remember a long time ago, some CEX listed spot/contracts early and even got warned by the project team, saying it was all fake. It used to be spot first, then contracts. Now pre-launch contracts seem to have become the norm. Why is that? To grab traffic? Build hype?
