As disclosed in an announcement on Monday, starting from Bitcoin block 912,690, the Bitcoin token protocol has integrated the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) into its core logic. This upgrade, referred to as BRC2.0, was jointly developed by Ordinals protocol developer Best in Slot and BRC20's anonymous founder Domo. Best in Slot CEO Eril Binari Ezerel stated that meta-protocols like Ordinals previously relied on "calculator-like" indexers, but with the integration of EVM, BRC20 will achieve Turing completeness.
